Empowering Neurodiverse Teens with DBT Skills
A transformative DBT skills group designed to help neurodiverse teens navigate their unique challenges and thrive
About Rise-Upp
Rise-Upp is a specialised DBT skills group tailored for neurodiverse teens. Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills are essential for neurodiverse teens due to their unique emotional and behavioural challenges. Neurodiversity encompasses conditions like autism, ADHD, and other neurological variations. DBT offers tools to manage intense emotions, improve social interactions, and enhance problem-solving abilities.
For neurodiverse teens, who might struggle with routine social norms and emotional regulation, DBT teaches mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. These skills enable them to navigate stress, build healthy relationships, and enhance their overall quality of life.
By incorporating DBT into their lives, neurodiverse teens can achieve better mental health, increased self-awareness, and a more fulfilling social life.
This group aims to offer a safe and supportive environment for individuals to learn and practice essential DBT skills, focusing on helping teens navigate their unique challenges.
