Mark de la Rey
Mark, a clinical psychologist, sees adults and adolescents for in-depth individual and group psychotherapy. The approaches he uses aim for lasting psychological and personal growth. This can only be achieved through an open and honest process of self-reflection and practical skills. Mark believes that an approach which includes Dialectical behavioral therapy, Mindfulness and challenge best serves this growth.
Mark's areas of interest are adolescents and their challenges, self harm, substance use, social media and general adjustment to developing into an adult. He has significant experience in trauma, PTSD, borderline personality disorder, depression and anxiety. For the past 3 years Mark has headed up the Adolescent in-patient program at Akeso Kenilworth clinic. Specialising in problems faced by adolescents and young people from the ages of 12 to 18.
Mark has also worked in private practice as a Clinical Psychologist with Adolescent behavioural problems as well as Marriage and Relationship therapy. His areas of interest are Substance withdrawal, abuse and dependence, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD), Bipolar Depression, Suicide, and Anxiety disorders.
